He was born in1962 in West Bengal. He studied Post Diploma Grahic (Print making) from M S University Baroda 1988-90, V.A.F.A.(Dawing & Painting) from Rabindrabharthi University, Calcutta 1981-86, Fresco Painting Course, Banasthali Vidyapith, Banasthali, Rajasthan, 1988, Associate Post Graduate student in Wimbledon School of Art, London 1988.
He has participated solo exhibitions from 1987 to 2001 i.e. Air Indian Art Gallery, Kolkatta 1987, Bajaj Art Gallery, Bombay 1999, Jehangir Art Gallery, Delhi 1996, Shridharani Art Gallery New delhi.
He has participated in Group Exhibitions from 1985 to 2003 i.e. Calcutta Academy of fine Arts, Bajaj Art Gallery, Bombay, Cymroza Art Gallery, Bombay, British Council, Delhi, Arks Gallery London, Manhaton Print Studio Newyork, Siddhartha Art Gallery Kathmandu.
He has held Seminars,workshops and Camps from 1990 to 1998 i.e. American Print Maker Charles Strough workshop at M S University Baroda, Lasting Impressions A seminar to mark the Bi-centerary of the Invention of Lithography at UK.
He received Awards and Scholarships from Indian College of Arts Award, AIFACS drawing Annual Award, New Delhi, Sr.fellowship, Ministry of HRD, Deptt. Of Culture, Govt. of India.
